Description

Experience the iconic design of Conscious Chair 3162, created in 1958 by renowned Danish furniture designer and architect Børge Mogensen and Esben Klint. Crafted with FSC® wood and Matek®, our innovative technology allows for the sustainable use of recycled fiber-based and plastic waste materials.

This is the first time a Børge Mogensen design has been reintroduced in a new material.

Sustainability
Made from FSC® Certified wood. The Matek® used for the Eternity Collection is made by mixing e-waste with either coffee waste from Danish coffee producer BKI Kaffe or wood waste.

Designer

Borge Mogensen & Esben Klint

Børge Mogensen (1914-1972) was a defining figure of Danish Modern design, earning international acclaim alongside Arne Jacobsen and Hans J. Wegner. Esben Klint (1915-1969), architect, cabinetmaker and son of Kaare Klint, was also known for his lighting work with Le Klint.

Together they designed the Conscious Chair in 1958 for Danish schools, now reimagined by Mater in waste-based materials.
