Winner of the Gold Leaf Award at the International Furniture Design Competition Asahikawa, the chair immediately draws attention with its sculptural, organic form.
Designed by Yuhao Zhu, the concept centers on creating a more intimate relationship between people and wood—inviting individuals of all shapes and postures to feel naturally supported.

Carved from Japanese Elm sourced in Hokkaido, the HUG Chair translates an extremely fluid, organic form into solid wood. Its tall, flowing silhouette rises like a natural structure—both grounding and expressive.
Finished with a soft-to-the-touch oil treatment, the surface enhances the tactile experience while allowing the natural character of the wood to remain fully visible.
